Building a high-fidelity racing experience rooted in a passion for motion, precision, and the feeling of speed.
FutureFireflies is a one-person independent hover racing game project. One developer — design, levels, 3D models, textures, code, game architecture, custom tools. Everything built from scratch, with full control over every decision.
FutureFireflies has been in development for over three years. It runs on a custom physics engine and custom tooling built specifically for this project — not off-the-shelf solutions, but systems designed from the ground up to get the hovercraft feel exactly right.
The obsession with racing physics comes from real experience — years of karting, understanding how a vehicle actually behaves at the limit. That knowledge is baked into every layer of the simulation.
A simulation-grade racing title set in the near future, where futuristic hovercraft prototypes compete across vast open landscapes — sweeping mountain passes, coastal cliffs, and stone valleys carved by wind.
Time trial and drift disciplines. Realistic vehicle handling. Environments that feel alive.
I am the sole developer behind FutureFireflies. I bring over 18 years of professional experience in the games industry, working as a 2D and 3D artist and animator for major game companies worldwide, with a strong focus on animation and performance optimization.
My background covers the full art and animation pipeline — including character and FX animation, 3D modeling, rigging, and game-ready asset production. Earlier in my career, I worked as a 3D artist on racing and action titles, which directly informs this project.
FutureFireflies is the natural next step — taking that accumulated experience and applying it to an original hover racing game, built from the ground up as a solo developer.
